Assistant Finance Director - IMS (Project Management)
Manages his/her team related to hiring, on-boarding, performance management, utilization, training, development, salary, promotions, transfers and terminations. Coaches individual and team performance and improvement.
Formulates departmental goals, strategies, and SOPs. Directs implementation of approved changes.
Leads financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting process, including: annual budget process (operating plan, capital plan, balance sheet and cash flow preparation) and monitoring, auditing, review and revision of key financial targets.
Participates in the development of the BU strategy including preparation of the 5-year business plan and development of projections associated with new or proposed strategies. Analyzes financial performance of specific projects/regions and identifies strategies to improve results. Works with corporate finance functions on matters impacting the BU.
Assists with Client investment activities. Oversees the external statutory reporting process. Establishes SOPs supporting accounting standards.
Attend Client meetings.
Supports IMS Finance Director with special projects, including acquisitions, disposals and restructuring.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education/Experience: BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business. MBA preferred. 10+ years of Municipal / governmental accounting experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Public Accounting License Preferred.
Technical: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
