Maintenance Compliance %26 Training Manager (Finance)
Major Responsibilities
" Hot Spot Teams " - Travel to sites and provide site specific analysis of deficiencies and opportunities for improvement that will place them on the path to meet their goals on a consistent month to month basis.
Develop organized improvement programs with a defined timeline that will deliver systemic improvements focused on long term positive performance that delivers the required results. The plan will include how you the CTM will define success for that site.
Lead a team of highly skilled tech 1's to carry out your plan.
Work with the local leadership and technician ranks.
Provide controls focused on insuring sustainable positive trends.
Training & Compliance Mgrs. - All CTM's will become the subject matter experts for the best practices, policies and procedures developed and implemented by our program.
CTM's will provide the much needed guidance and training to the field teams.
Compliance - CTM's will be responsible for conducting routine spot checks of sites to insure our sites are following the policies, procedures and methodologies that we have implemented as a department.
CTM's will be responsible for revisiting the former "Hot Spots", that they did not implement a Recovery Plan, every 6 to 8 weeks for one year to insure ongoing compliance with policies, procedures and best practices.
Develop our future needs - CTM's will also be the key developers of new best practices and procedures. Where they don't currently exist we will create and implement them system wide.
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a "B" Class CDL.
High school graduation or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must be respected by your peers and have demonstrated strong leadership and mentoring capabilities in your current role as a Tech 1 / Master Certified School Bus Technician or Shop Supervisor.
Must be a proven leader and be endorsed and recommended to this program by your Mgr. or RMM.
Knowledge of safe work practices, including hazardous materials.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and standards applicable to the assigned location (e.g. Federal, State/Provincial, local).
Knowledge of NELLC's vision, values, service promise and relevant policies, procedures and practices to provide effective and efficient customer service.
Knowledge of and experience using information current technology and all related software to access technical information and enter data.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to travel extensively and for weeks at a time.
Preferred but not required:
Associates degree or Technical School Certificate of Completion
Possession of an ASE - Master School Bus Technician certification or an ASE -Master Tech Certification is preferred but not required.
For Canada - possession of a Red Seal endorsed interprovincial certificate as certified journeyman, Ontario Truck and Coach certification (310T) etc. is preferred but not required
