POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Membership, the Senior Director - Group Sales will be the person primarily responsible for achieving organizational revenue goals for all Trout Lodge group sales. The Senior Director - Group Sales will supervise the Sales staff and the Conference staff at Trout Lodge in Potosi, Missouri. The position will be based in St. Louis, Missouri at the Association Resource Office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Strong human relation, problem-solving, multitasking, business development and budget management skills. 2. Lead and supervise all aspects of a group sales including prospecting, solutions and proposal development, familiarization tours, client visits, from first contact to contract negotiations, signing and delivery of group events. 3. IContact or insure contact with all groups at least once a month until their visit, and one week prior to arrival to check on arrangements listed in the contract. 4. Accurately project Trout Lodge group-generated revenue, and provide updates with action items at the weekly directors' meeting. 5. Schedule personal sales calls, respond to leads and make presentations to prospective groups. 6. Work collaboratively with each department director to determine sales strategy for all programs. 7. Devise and implement sales strategies to meet the revenue goal, and control budget. 8. Be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the YMCA of the Ozarks conference facility, front desk, group reservations, food service and program departments as they relate to the guest. 9. Coordinate conference details in a timely manner to appropriate directors and department heads. 10. Provide quality control to the service schedules prepared by group sales staff. 11. Provide excellent customer service to groups and conference leaders. 12. Be sure groups and leaders are informed of any conference details. 13. Assist with any special programming needs 14. Use Association Customer Relationship Management software and Standard Operating Procedures to insure proper pipeline and client management. 15. Prepare all weekly reports for the Vice President of Membership 16. Be active in sharing of information with Marketing Company for strategies and implementation. 17. Assist with fund raising as assigned. 18. Performs all other duties as assigned
