Saw Operator: Afternoon Shift (Project Management)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Steward our mission (to enrich lives by providing differentiated packaging automation and services) and values (unwavering integrity, servants heart, ownership spirit and continuous innovation and improvement).Meet or exceed DMC cutting standards.Determine which cutting process should be used in a given situation.Use a variety of tools and machines.Calculate the optimum material utilization for each bar and sheet stock and enters cut lengths and quantities into machine control.Clean, cut, and deburr steel.Ensure that material is issued at the end of each shift.Maintains work area in accordance to 5S standards.Report necessary maintenance and repair for equipment used in the sawing department.Must demonstrate a willingness to continue expanding his/her skills by pursuing training and cross training in all areas of the Machine Shop as availability of equipment allows.Responsible for complying with all safety policies and procedures

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma / GED and metal sawing or related manufacturing experience preferred
