QA Document Controls Specialist (R&D)
Join our Quality Assurance team and play a key role in protecting food safety and product integrity. Rizo Lopez Foods is looking for a QA Document Control Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and is driven by a commitment to excellence in food manufacturing.
What Youll Do:
As the QA Document Control Specialist, youll be the backbone of our quality documentation systemkeeping us audit-ready and aligned with top-tier standards. Your work will support third-party certifications (SQF, Organic, Kosher), maintain supplier documentation, and help ensure every process meets the highest regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and organize documentation for SQF, Organic, Kosher, and other certifications.
Oversee the Approved Supplier List and gather/track required compliance documentation.
Manage Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming and outgoing product.
Support internal audits and help lead the compliance effort across departments.
Assist the QA Director with regulatory programs including FSMA, GMPs, Food Defense, and SOP development.
Organize, update, and archive all SOPs, SSOPs, and training records.
Contribute to QA systems like Food Safety, Recall, and Food Defense Plans.
Participate in food safety training initiatives across the organization.
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience or training in cultured product or pasteurized beverage manufacturing.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Detail-oriented mindset with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance.
PCQI certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Preferred:
Associate's degree or higher in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or related field.
23 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

This is an on-site role with a MondayFriday schedule (8-hour shifts). Must be available to maintain reliable attendance per company standards.
