The Sr. Category Development Manager is responsible for applying category management principles internally and with assigned retail partners, and identifying marketplace, shopper and consumer trends and insights to develop action plans for category and brand growth. This role will analyze and translate consumer and category data into insights, strategies and tactics, and lead the creation of selling stories that are compelling and meaningful to drive profitable sales and market share gains.
Build trust and rapport as a thought leader with our retailers by understanding the competitive marketplace and by building actionable solutions while demonstrating category management principles.
Provide thought leadership and expertise on the implementation of Galderma's Category Growth Drivers platform.
Lead analysis and identify actionable strategies and tactics across Product, Placement, Promotion and Pricing for assigned retailers/channels.
Develop sustainable category and brand recommendations and solutions with the ability to articulate and present internally and with our retail partners.
Identify and prioritize value-added actions that drive category growth, share growth and trade independency.
Identify research opportunities specific to your assigned retailers and assist in research projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Insights, Analytics, Shopper and Trade Marketing and Brand to develop reports to aggressively pursue and track the achievement of business objectives.
Mine data from multiple data sources, identifying trends, opportunities and gaps for assigned retailers.
Lead implementation of planogram software for all assigned retailers and/or categories.
Be the voice of the Category Development team in internal, cross functional collaborations.

Travel & Residency
Work locations: Minneapolis, MN. or Bentonville, AR. Remote position.
Bachelor's degree required, Business or related field preferred.
Eight (8) or more years combined experience in sales management, corporate national accounts, sales planning, category management and/or marketing areas of a consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently.
Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS-Office in the MS-Windows software, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Syndicated POS and Panel (IRI or Nielsen).
Proficiency in JDA preferred.
Remote position. Must live in Bentonville, AR. or Minneapolis, MN.
