Our team has been and is currently designing a wide array of interesting projects, including new F-35 Hangars, pilot training facilities, State Library rehabilitation, petrol-chemical facilities, and new hotels. Our multi-discipline team works together to deliver the complete package of Architecture, Structures, Mechanical, and Electrical/Comm. Our team is also executing these projects using cloud hosted B.I.M. techniques, the most innovative design and construction delivery method in use today. This process encourages collaboration within the design team and with the builder (contractor).
DESCRIPTION
Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager (50% Role):
Provide QA/QC leadership and support for the multi-discipline Architecture/Building Engineering group. Develop and maintain overall QA/QC Management processes, procedures and templates for the A/E team. Ensure that all projects have a Project Management Plan and a Project Specific Quality Management Plan. Coordinate Independent Technical Reviews (ITRs) of project deliverables as appropriate to include the facilitation of resources across the business to support these reviews. Establish a quality audit process across all A/E projects. Engage PMs to identify project quality issues and needs and support them in the development of project specific quality management plans. Support the capturing and sharing of quality management lessons learned and lead the implementation of continuous improvements accordingly.
Specifications Writer (50% Role):
Support project execution through developing, managing, and delivering required specification packages for multi-discipline Architectural projects. Coordinate with discipline leads to determine required specifications and needs for individual projects. Ensure specification QC to match design drawings and RFP requirements. Create and maintain a library of specifications throughout projects as developed. Most projects will require the use of SpecsIntact, MasterSpec, or other client driven specification production software.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering
8 years of directly related experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Certification in Architecture or Engineering
Minimum 8 years' experience in Quality Management in a design and construction environment (Major Projects experience is considered an asset)
Experience working with the federal government
Intimate knowledge and experience in Quality Standards, Processes and Procedures. Experience with Document Control and programs such as SpecsIntact and MasterSpec
Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, is required
High degree of technical proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Project, SharePoint), ProjectWise, and Bluebeam
