Sterile Processing Technician I/II (Weekend Shift) - Clean, Disinfect and Sterilize Surgical Instrumentation - University Hospital (3440) (Healthcare)

We are seeking a Weekend Only - Sterile Processing Tech I/II: - Work in a fast-paced environment requiring a high level of technical skill. - No experience necessary; you will be provided training at a pace comfortable for you. - Decontaminate and sterilize cutting edge surgical instruments and reprocessing equipment. - Be a member of a cohesive team assisting and supporting each other. Education: Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent. Work Experience: Minimum – One-year experience in reprocessing. Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – Certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician is required. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Must able to stand for an entire shift. - Ability to maintain productivity standards. - Excellent communication, customer service, human relations, and interpersonal skills. - Excellent organization skills, detail oriented, and self-motivated to complete duties in a timely manner. - Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. - Basic mechanical ability. - Ability to follow instructions. - Basic mathematical skills. - Basic judgement and logic skills. - Knowledge of and ability to follow safety principles. - Knowledge of the calendar. - Ability to differentiate colors. Physical Requirements: Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. W ork Schedule: This is a part-time, .90% FTE, scheduled to work 36 hours per week. This position will require working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
