The Land O'Lakes Supply Chain & Operations division provides strategic leadership across the company's many business units. The team plays a significant role in fueling revenue growth and profitability through operational excellence, quality, process improvement and innovation. By partnering closely with Finance, Marketing and Human Resources, the team delivers value to Land O'Lakes business units, members and customers.
Position Purpose:
Participates in design, development, & implementation of facility safety, health, & environmental programs & procedures to safeguard employees and ensure the facility is compliant with Land O' Lakes EHS standards and all Federal, State, & Local safety/environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
Conducts safety audits and validations of buildings, facilities, tools and equipment. Determines safety training requirements and provides employees with safety training applicable to their work processes per company EHS standards (training, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and employee engagement). Perform ergonomics assessments and corrective actions. Assists Engineering Manager with ISN contractor safety management. You will be an active contributing member of the PSM Team and will implement/own certain elements such as training, contractor safety, hot work, emergency response, and others as directed. Investigates accidents and promotes safety-conscious work performance and training programs. Provides safety performance measures. Determines root cause analyses. Other environmental-related responsibilities.
Travel: Less than 10% per year

-Will be occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; climb up and down stairs and ladders; talk or hear.
-Will occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
-Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
-Will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The temperature of the work environment can fluctuate due to occasional temperatures from cold/cool to warm/hot.
-The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and will require ear plugs.
-While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment.

Experience-Education (Required):
-Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Engineering.
-2+ years' progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing/logistics/warehousing environment
Competencies-Skills (Required):
-Must possess strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills
-Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company
-Strong computer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
-Effective communication skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment
Experience-Education (Preferred):
-Four-year degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Engineering.
-Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
-Six Sigma Certification
Competencies-Skills (Preferred):
-Experience and career history with “Fortune 500” type companies strongly desired
Hours: 1st Shift - May require off shift hours and weekends
