Domestic Operations Agent (Administrative)
Work with a dynamic group, handling all day to day activities for major clients that would include heavy customer service and technical solutions for those clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform all aspects of customer service meeting all company goals and expectations.
Works with cartage provider, carriers and Lynden International operational staff on resolving warehouse, cartage, and other logistics issues.
Vendor negotiations for price and service and customer quoting for individual shipments as well as large comprehensive RFQ.
Maintain and expand pricing models used in our project business.
Key account coordinator on Lynden's top customers.
Yearly project work that will involve all aspects of logistics in a comprehensive plan and will include project management.
Identifies root causes of service failures, recommends solutions, and implements recommendations.
Prepare and execute SOP's and SOW's.
Predictable and consistent attendance.
Weekend on-call responsibilities based on a rotating on-call schedule.
Educations and/or Experience
High school education or equivalent and five years progressive work experience in operations, or a four-year degree plus two years customer service or freight operations experience. Business or industry degree preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as tariffs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Able to work with customers and vendors to come up with solutions that meet company expectations.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Microsoft Access - Data Base management a plus.
Good organizations skills.
Primarily works with computer and phone but, occasionally may need to work in and around warehouse. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
