The Dietary Weekend Manager is responsible for the oversight of the dietary department during hours of operation on Saturday, Sunday, major Holidays and other days as assigned. This Manager acts on behalf of the Director. This individual must display maturity and decision making skills while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and customer service towards Residents, Families and Staff Members.The Weekend Manager is not allowed to hire or fire any employees, but will immediately inform the Director of any disciplinary concerns or issue that require an education process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Harmony Hall Residents are the priority. All dining rooms should be monitored to ensure staff are accessible and providing customer service.
2. Monitor the appearance and productivity of all Dietary Staff.
a. Clean uniforms, shirts tucked in, hairnets, badges,etc...
b. Bonnets and/or Hair coverings are unacceptable.
c. Cell Phones and Earbuds are not permitted.
d. Excessive socializing is unacceptable.
e. Meal Break times are adhered to.
3. Monitor daily menu preparations for appearance and taste. Communicate with cook if food requires adjustment.
4. Obtain feedback from Residents and Guests on meals provided and communicate feedback to Director, Assistant Director and Head Chef.
5. Complete clerical Meal Tracker work.
6. Complete rounds for each floor. Check Dining Areas, Fridges, Countertops and Tables. Report back to respective staff to complete any required clean up or stocking. Follow up and make sure tasks have been completed.
7. Responsible for communicating with Director and Assistant Director of any issues regarding Residents and/or Staff.
8. Prepare for each shift by confirming that the appropriate amount of staff are scheduled and if needed fill in any staffing shortages. Any schedule switches must be approved by management.
9. Check and Log Voice Mails.
