Technical Business Analyst
The Technical Business Analyst evaluates new technology developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate solution alternatives and/or enhancements. Acts as a liaison between technology development group and business units for the development, implementation and enhancement of solutions.
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will:
Meet with customers/internal BU's to gather and understand business transformation requirements,
Create and maintain a database to perform analysis
Work in a collaborative team of software and management professionals
Organize workflow and manage time effectively
Ensure tasks are completed accurately, on time and within budget
Communicate effectively with Peers, Project Leads and Management
Develop functional specifications that satisfy client requirements (small-medium scale)
Collaborate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to review and refine requirements
Actively address issues; setting priorities when appropriate and escalating issues when needed
Lead production deployment planning
Perform system validation and assist clients with ongoing support for applications
What makes you a good fit for this role?
1-3 years of business analyst experience and technical expertise including internships and/or related professional experience
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
Ability to utilize multiple data sources to create visual dashboards for internal and external support groups and customers
Understanding of SQL/Python programming
MS Office or Google Suite experience
Data visualization software experience preferred (R,Spotfire, Tableau)
Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects
Ability to work independently under pressure with or without minimum supervision
Strong Unix/Linux experience
Knowledge of credit reporting industry
Excellent problem solving skills and debugging techniques
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Experience with batch processing applications and systems
Experience in file manipulation and in working with multiple file types (ex. Binary, Fixed Block, Delimited, XML)
Preferred experience in Big Data analytics (Hadoop, Greenplum)
Proven experience with data visualization tools and methodologies
