Overview
The Project Coordinator Research and Development works with a Project Engineer. Create, track, organize and maintain engineering projects using both physical and electronic files. Correspond with customers. Coordinate all aspects of the projects including quotes, specifications, drawings, tooling, components, materials, run packets, inspection information, shipping etc. Fully document all project activity and interact with the ERP systems.
Responsibilities
• Collect and evaluate the project information to provide to leadership for approval
• Coordinate project updates to provide to leadership
• Assess projects throughout the process for requirements and potential crossover
• Assist in refining and maintaining scope of project
• Assess project resource needs and make recommendations for department/ location involvement
• Set up and maintain project file
• Attend meetings related to the project and provide support
• Function as a liaison between internal departments
• Monitors, coordinates and drives completion of action items to assure well synchronized and effective roll-out of process, procedures, and/or technology changes
• Serve as a change analyst in the PLM system by managing the routing and release process of changes through workflows
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of existing Cook systems and change control is preferred
• At least 1 year of project coordinator experience (or related experience)
• Knowledge of the various computer programs/systems utilized a plus, but not required
• Must be detail-orientated
• Must have effective listening, oral and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
• Works under general office environmental conditions
• Close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, and sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to travel to any of the Cook Inc. facilities when necessary
