HEARST COMMUNICATIONS, INC.
Director of Media (Marketing)
Are you interested in the fast paced and rewarding environment of a start-up but not sure about the instability? What if you had a billion dollar backer with full benefits? Do you love media and love the city where you live? Do you enjoy learning about new businesses from the ground up and helping them grow through marketing?
If you answered yes to all of these questions we want to talk with you!
46Mile is a year old marketing services start-up funded by Hearst Corp. Our mission is to provide Madison Ave agency expertise and resources tailored to the needs of California regional brands. We leverage all Hearst partners and assets to deliver on this objective. We offer a unique model combining business and marketing strategy with advertising execution. Our team combines global brand, large agency and entrepreneurial experience to properly leverage the vast resources Hearst offers and help grow our clients business.
This is your chance to get in on the ground floor and help grow a profitable marketing agency backed by Hearst.
The Director of Media is a key role in both strategy and execution for our clients; building multichannel media plans, participating in strategy development, brainstorms and creating advertising programs to meet Client goals. You will work with the executive team to develop marketing strategy and then create and execute media plans against the strategy. We've already started building the infrastructure for you to be successful; two active DSP's, iAds, pre-negotiated rates with key bay area publishers, access to Nielsen and CommScore and a Hearst Communications instance on DoubleClick. This individual will identify products and partners, recommend media mix, and provide success metrics following each effort. This role requires high attention to detail, proven experience in digital channels, experience with more traditional channels (print, television, radio) and a passion for identifying where the industry is headed next. The Media Lead reports into the President.
