Custodian (Maintenance)
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, snow removal, grounds keeping, and other related responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Responsible for maintaining female locker rooms during business hours.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
Scheduled shift(s) by location:
- Men's Residence - Full Time; Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
- East Greenbush - Part Time; various shifts
- Bethlehem - Part Time Nights 8pm-12pm and Weekends 6pm-10pm
- Guilderland - Part Time; Evenings 4:30-9:30pm
- Glenville: Part Time Nights 8pm-12pm and Weekends 6pm-10pm

Schenectady - Part Time Sat, and Sun 9am-4pm

Southern Saratoga - Full Time 3rd shift position; 40 hours weekly; Rotating 5 week schedule; 9:00pm - 5:30am
- Duanesburg - Part time 12-15 hours per week
