Financial Systems Analyst - Oracle EBS (Information Technology)

Description
The Oracle Business Analyst - Finance for Emerson E&P Software will be responsible for supporting the Finance functions in Oracle and other applications. The BA will also be responsible for continuously improving internal customers' processes through technology-aided solutions, delivering enhancements for enterprise applications, and providing functional expertise for Oracle applications. 


Responsibilities

  • Support Oracle ERP core finance applications: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, General Ledger, EBTax and Purchasing.
  • Facilitate design sessions with business. Elicit business requirements and translate into high-level functional requirements, use cases, and user acceptance test plans. Identify gaps against Oracle ERP and other system configurations.
  • Provide end to end solution and process expertise leveraging standard practices when connecting IT and business stakeholders and identifying new IT-enabled solutions.
  • Write Ad-hoc SQL queries and provide data extracts to business users as requested.
  • Understand the relation between finance and other Oracle modules including OM, INV, PO and provide support for O2C and P2P processes.
  • Support all month-end close and reporting activities working closely with finance personnel.
  • Provide support for audit and SOX compliance and ensure new processes meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • Partner with onshore and offshore IT support teams to ensure stellar customer service. For any noted production issues, validate root cause analysis and drive complete resolution.
  • Create and maintain system documentation (requirements, processes, procedures, test cases) in support of implementation/enhancement using SDLC/AIM methodology
  • Adhere to rigorous change management process for all projects and changes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting or related field.
  • 3-4 years Oracle EBS work experience OR 2 yrs of Oracle EBS experience with 1-2 yrs of accounting experience.
  • Hands on experience with Oracle EBS in at least 5 of the following modules General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), Cash Management (CE) ,Fixed Assets (FA), EBTax, Purchasing (PO).
  • Minimum of one Oracle EBS Implementation experience in a technical or functional role.
  • Understanding of OM, INV, PO and its integration to financial modules (Quote to cash and Procure to pay cycles).
  • Experience with Multi-Org and Multi-Currency environment is a must. 
  • Knowledge of Discoverer, Hyperion HFM, SmartView and Planning desired.
  • Knowledge of common financial, accounting and business practices.
  • Experience working as a CPA/Accounting is plus.
