DAS Field Engineer (Engineering)

Payscale: $90k-$120k

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DAS Field Engineer to join our growing Technical Services team. This individual will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), including public safety (ERRCS) and commercial wireless systems. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the field and can independently execute all phases of DAS deployment while mentoring junior techs and ensuring top-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and mark up RF design documents, iBwave files, and construction drawings to reflect field conditions.
Perform and analyze Line/Sweep, PIM, and OTDR testing, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with carrier and public safety standards.
Commission, optimize, and integrate DAS solutions using (Commscope, Corning, JMA, SOLiD, ADRF, Comba, Fiplex, etc.).
ATP Data Collection.
Collaborate with project managers, RF engineers, and GC teams to execute high-quality work on time and within budget.
Train and guide junior team members in DAS installation best practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
Maintain detailed documentation including redlines, daily reports, test results, and closeout packages.
Conduct site walks, system audits, and post-deployment verifications.
Ability to manage deadlines

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of hands-on DAS testing and commissioning experience.
Proficient in using testing equipment such as Anritsu, EXFO, PCTel, IBFlex scanner, Seehawk, NEMO Walker Air UE, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, signal propagation, and public safety code compliance (ERRCS/NFPA).
Ability to work independently on complex projects and mentor less experienced technicians.
Experience with RF software and commissioning platforms for major OEMs.
OSHA 30, RF Safety, First Aid/CPR certifications strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation
Perform CW Testing
Perform Noise Figure Calculations and create RF Link budgets

Working Conditions:

Frequently works in active construction environments, indoors and outdoors.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work on lifts, rooftops, or in confined spaces.
Flexible schedule with occasional night or weekend work depending on project requirements.
