JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing a variety of routine daily tasks, such as processing client wire requests, identifying incoming wires and reconciling daily outgoing and incoming wires for Warehouse Lending Division (WLD).  Responsible for month end closing and reporting. It is required that you have a thorough knowledge of the Company's policies and procedures. Ensures daily transactions are processed smoothly at Warehouse Lending level.  Helps to ensure internal controls, policies, and mechanisms comply with standard industry practices, regulatory guidelines, and senior management's recommendations and/or directions. Performs all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Process complex settlement transactions including applying monthly interest roll schedules and bulk trade settlements. Oversee the daily incoming wires reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  2. Responsible for closing month end transactions; running interest accrual and saving/reviewing month end reports for Management and Accounting Department.
  3. Process internal transfer transactions between client accounts at Banc of California and WLD GL account.
  4. Review and verify loan funding wire requests in WireXchange and SRG. Reconcile daily outgoing wires.  Research and solve any wire discrepancies.
  5. Prepare quarterly financial seller certificates and assist in reviewing mid-size client financial statements.
  6. Set up new clients profiles in SRG and maintain the profiles when terms change.
  7. Assist on other tasked assigned by SVP, Director of Operations with including but not limited to; internal and external audit requests, assisting with collateral receipt and shipping as needed.
  8. Consistently apply decision making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals and requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures, keeping within assigned approval limit.
  9. Support audit project such as research wire transfer supporting documentation.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ensures excellent internal and external communication with clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred or relevant work experience.
  • 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training.  Work related experience should consist of a credit or loan processing background.  Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
  • Banking experience preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years mortgage experience required.

SALARY RANGE: $42,352.68 - 71,000.00; Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
