WATER PRACTICE
Michael Baker International's Water Practice provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for the entire spectrum of the water cycle. We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services from scientific and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services. Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
DESCRIPTION
The Mountain Region Water Practice Lead will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the firm's water strategies and growth. This regional leadership position will involve close partnership and coordination with our national water practice team. Develop and drive the implementation of the strategic business development plans to expand the firm's water practice in terms of water/wastewater, water treatment, green infrastructure, climate change/resiliency, CSO water quality, flood control and surface water quality expertise. This will include developing and capturing new market opportunities and expanding existing relationships within the regional and national marketplace.
As a key part of our National Water Leadership Team, you will work with Michael Baker's senior Management and staff across the firm to increase the firm's water business and to facilitate the execution of exceptional projects for our clients. You will also serve as a subject matter expert in the region for the water practice and advisor for project teams and identify and leverage industry trends and future opportunities.
Marketing and Business Development responsibilities include activities such as assisting in relationship development with key clients, identification of specific project opportunities, positioning for targeted identified pursuits and supporting preparation of proposals and interviews. Post award, the Regional Practice Lead may be involved in contract/scope negotiations and work plan development.
