Software Engineering Intern (R&D Summer Program) (Maintenance)

As part of our summer intern program you will be paired with a highly visible and impactful project within one of the many teams within the engineering organization. You could potentially work with any of the amazing teams: frontend, data systems and processing, research, security alerts and signals, enterprise cloud or cloud backend, web/browser, mobile and/or testing. As an intern you will have 1:1 mentorship as well as participate in group and company meetings. You will work hands-on with cutting edge technology like machine learning, AI, javascript, compliers, bytecode, crypto, big data, data compression, data manipulation, bot detection and much, much more.

Project work will be mapped to your background
Work to fully understand expectations for project acceptance criteria, goals and stretch goals
Engage with mentor and other groups at Shape
Final presentation to conclude internship
Skills/Qualifications
Enrolled in BS or MS programs and in your junior year
Computer Science, ML, AI, Big Data, Networking and/or Security background
Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: Java, Javascript, Python, HTTP, TCP/IP, API, as well as working with cloud computing (AWS or GCP) and/or databases
Eager to learn
Not afraid to ask questions or to fail fast
Passionate about technology
