Job Summary: The Electrical Quality Systems Engineer will be responsible for the resolution and prevention of electrical quality issues including warranty and investigations from JD Powers and Consumer Reports.
This position is within Product Development focused on electrical systems and components.
The Engineer will work with managers and senior management to achieve quality improvement goals.
The key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams in the root cause, containment, corrective action and service action for quality and warranty issues.
The Engineer is responsible for prioritizing warranty data to ensure the team is focused on the top items and will bridge communication between engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality and purchasing to ensure the appropriate expertise is engaged in the resolution process.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive engineering, manufacturing, or quality
Must be current and continuous experience to be considered
Minimum 3 years of experience working on electrical components
Proven problem solving skills and experience in leading projects
Proven team leadership experience
Ability to engage and motivate team members
Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree (Engineering, Quality, Business)
Reactive Shainin Green/Black Belt certification
Proactive DFSS Green/Black Belt certification
Working knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis
Travel and Driving Requirements:
Will be required to drive a company car. Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
