We are seeking a Psychometrist to: - Administer and score a comprehensive battery of neuropsychological tests that is one portion of the neuropsychologist's assessment of a patient's mental status and prepare detailed behavioral observation notes. - Administer and score a large number of standardized test instruments appropriate for specific age and clinical populations, ranging in age from preschool to very senior citizens. Education: Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Science, Social Work or other related field. Preferred - Master's degree. Work Experience: Preferred - Experience in administering psychometric tests is desirable but not required. Two (2) years experience in administering psychometric tests. Licenses and Certifications: Preferred - CSP certification. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Knowledge of testing methods, procedures and instruments used in assessment of individuals is required. - Possesses an unusual degree of interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and ability to empathize with and encourage maximal effort from a varied patient population. - Demonstrable skills in problem-solving, personal flexibility, resourcefulness in decision making, prioritization, time management, and attention to detail. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with medical and other professional faculty/staff. Physical Requirements: Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Work Schedule: This full time, 40 hours per week, position will have shifts scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. No weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
