The Principle Electrical Engineering position is responsible for the specifying, design, installation and start-up of plant process and support equipment as well as coordinating the work of plant electrical resources. Lead or support projects that reduce operating costs through cost reduction, improved process control or improved machine reliability as well as projects that introduce new products or processes to the plant.
What is the work you will be doing?
1. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules and prepare CER documentation. 2. Implement projects per approved budget and schedule. 3. Organize all resources and oversee completion and quality of project work. 4. Develop new equipment operational parameters and instructions, maintenance and calibration procedures. 5. Coordinate validation of equipment installed. 6. Supervise plant electrical resources and coordinate/prioritize their tasks. 7. Provide technical troubleshooting assistance for plant and facilities maintenance technicians as needed. 8. Develop project ideas in support of plant cost reduction, quality and maintenance improvement objectives. 9. Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) is a major cornerstone of this Company’s beliefs. Do you have these experiences or skills?
Experience: 7+ years’ experience in engineering support for manufacturing plant, with a strong emphasis in project management
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Knowledge of process controls and programming, equipment design, electrical and instrumentation drawings, PLC programming, PC-based operator interfaces and software and AutoCAD.
Lean and/ or Six Sigma experience preferred Skills/Competencies: Strong problem-solving/analysis and communication skills required.

Working Conditions
The manufacturing facility is air conditioned and environmentally controlled and employees are required to wear smock, hair cover, and ear protection. Some support areas of the plant may expose an employee to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and high precarious places. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and electrical shock.
