Digital Advertising Strategist (Marketing)

Role Overview
As a Digital Marketing Specialist at BH Companies, you'll execute and optimize paid media strategies to achieve marketing performance goals across our portfolio of over 300+ properties. You're a detail oriented, hands-on digital marketing practitioner who can analyze the data, assess the opportunities, and drive initiatives through to completion. You will achieve this with an incredibly strong support system to lean on, reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Strategy, teaming up with our Google Representatives and operating side-by-side with your peers on the Digital Strategy Team.
Key Responsibilities
CHANNEL + CAMPAIGN STRATEGY:
· Drive best practices across search, display and social paid media channels
· Work directly within our technology platform vendors to onboard properties, implement Google recommendations and troubleshoot performance
· Ensure tracking is set up and implemented correctly to measure the impact of campaigns
· Monitor Google Analytics and internal tooling to ensure tracking is set up and implemented correctly
· Partner with subject matter experts and offer advice on how to improve conversion rates
· Assist with analysis of website add-ons such as dynamic number insertion (DNI) and how those add-ons impact performance
· Lead initiatives to test new tactics and channels
· Stay up to date on industry best practices and platform updates
AUDIENCE SEGMENTATION + TARGETING:
· Research target markets to better understand audiences, keywords, and competitors
· Build smart audience targeting into your network, channel, and campaign strategy
· Tap into the prospect journey in a strategic way, building membership lists like a pro
· Understand paid media data and usage implications surrounding first party and third-party data
MARKETING MEASUREMENT + ANALYTICS:
· Identify SEO best-practices and how organic + paid complement each other
· Get to know our internal CRM tool and lead source attribution mechanisms
· Monitors KPIs and performance goals across all channels

About You
5+ years of SEM or Paid Media Marketing experience. You understand the analytical, strategic, and tactical side of paid media and are a hands-on practitioner.
Extensive experience and may hold certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Retargeting, Display + Programmatic, and Google Tag Manager.
Familiar with popular industry tooling like SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.
Understand and speak the language of APIs and data feeds.
Excellent judgement with quick decision-making skills but are also highly organized and detail oriented.
Next level written and verbal communication.
Well-equipped to manage marketing vendors. You know how to build productive relationships, how to deliver honest feedback, and when to shop.
Confidently present your strategies in a persuasive way, and you have the data to back them up.
Happily, autonomous with healthy communication skills. You love to work independently, but you keep everyone in your sphere informed of your progress.
Bonus if you have
B2C experience
Experience tracking ranking performance with or without tooling like BrightEdge
Familiarity with real estate, multifamily operations (conventional + student housing), and equities and investments are ideal, but not a deal breaker - we're great teachers
Expert level understanding of Fair Housing Act guidelines and how they impact digital marketing and paid media
